So fun fact! This song almost didn't make the album, I remember the main idea was done, and all the lyrics were there, but for some reason I just didn't feel like it fit the rest of the songs and it kinda sounded like "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk when I first recorded it, hence the running titled of Good Luck. I sat on this idea for a few months and would come back to it little by little until I finally decided to just add to the album as a "whatever track"

I'm very glad I did. A lot of folks have said this is their favourite song on the album <3

This song is about saying "who cares" to responsibility, accountability and spirituality. It's about using the good times in your life to escape hardship and once you get into that deflective behaviour you lose sight of any self reflection you need to grow. I call "23 Tonight" and "Love" sister songs because they're opposite from one another but talk about the same themes almost like "Love" is the aha! moment to breaking the cycle in "23 Tonight"
