I wrote this song while working a summer job where I picked up trash and cleaned the outside of the mall at the age of 22 turning 23. The song has a very summery vibe to it just from how hot it was most days while working. In context to the album this song actually functions as an "Ad" for a new club opening on "Main Street" The idea of the club was kind of inspired from the movies From Dust Till Dawn, that one Casino in Percy Jackson and the song "Hotel California"

I remember always going out with some friends to night clubs and just feeling trapped inside, I didn't want to be the first to leave because I had a crippling case of FOMO. Clubs are no place for a closeted introvert, nothing about them felt natural to me, it always seemed make belief and kinda plastic and fake. I think back to the club party days as a reminder now to stay in touch with myself. used this time and experience to make this song

The concept of "Club 3D X" was that, if you brought a friends to this place you'd get in for free but once you're in you're never allowed to leave. So it always looks like there's a party going on inside but everyone in there is miserable af. The drinks and refreshments inside would have a hallucinogenic element to it where it would make you feel refreshed and everyone around you looked amazing. The negative side being your perception of time would be slowed to a crawl, but you wouldn't notice because you're fucked up lol

Being trapped in a good time forever can quite quickly become a bad time, i've been witness to a lot of horrible things going down in the club sense. It just made me really want to not have to fake it anymore, but sadly I kept faking it and thats where 23 Tonight comes in
